Welcome
Licensed, Local and Trusted in Mona Vale
Your local sparkies are licensed, insured and not a call centre. Ring us and a real person answers the phone, books you in and sends a reminder text ahead of the day.
We are Master Electricians Australia members, and the standard is the same whether it is a fibro beach cottage or a new apartment. You get a fixed written price before we start, and the work is done properly the first time.
Mona Vale anchors the Pittwater area, a relaxed town centre between the ocean and the calm water, and we know its homes street by street. You can read more on our about page.
Every Electrical Service Mona Vale Homes Call For
A flickering downlight, a dead circuit, or a switchboard past its day, we handle the lot for homes across the suburb. You get it in writing first, a licensed sparkie on the tools, and the compliance paperwork sorted at the end.
Switchboard Upgrades
Replacing a tired fuse board with safety switches, RCBOs and clear labelling, sized for the way your home actually draws power today.
Light Installation
Security floodlights, pendants, dimmers and garden runs, including the newer builds off Surfview Road. Cabling kept tidy, switching that makes sense.
EV Charger Installation
Charging at home starts with the right circuit. We fit EV chargers with the load checked and the cable run kept neat back to the board.
Emergency Electrician
When something sparks, trips over and over or smells like burning, waiting is the wrong move. Our emergency line runs day and night for the real thing.
Level 2 Electrician
Level 2 accredited work handles consumer mains, the overhead or underground service line, and meter connection or defect repairs on the network side.
Residential Electrician
The everyday list: rewiring, added power points, safety switches, ceiling fans and thermal fault-finding. The bread-and-butter that keeps an older house safe.
When an Electrical Emergency Strikes in Mona Vale
A few faults will not wait for a booking slot. Burning smells, sparks, or half the house going dark all mean stop and call now.
Ring our emergency electrician straight away for any of the following:
- Sharp buzzing, arcing or sparks from an outlet or fitting
- A hot-plastic or burning smell around a socket or the board
- A breaker that trips again the second you reset it
- A switchboard warm to the touch, or clicking on and off
- Scorching or black marks around a switch or power point
- Wiring left exposed after a leak, a storm or a reno
Summer is the busy stretch, with the beach, the ocean pool and every outdoor circuit running hard. Heavy coastal rain is the other trigger, driving water into outdoor boards and knocking out supply.
Turn it off at the switchboard first, safely, then call (02) 9134 9029. If the whole street is dark, the fault sits with Ausgrid, not your home; from your board inward, it is ours to fix, often same or next day once it is safe.
Local knowledge
Mona Vale Homes and What They Need from an Electrician
Much of the suburb grew up on a postwar base of detached houses, with mid-century fibro and brick beach cottages still lining the older streets. Newer units and townhouses cluster where Pittwater Road runs into the town centre.
That mix decides the work. Homes from the 1940s to the 1980s were wired before safety switches (RCDs) were compulsory, so many still carry gaps a modern board would close.
Renovations keep uncovering the rest. Pulling back plaster on the mid-century stock often turns up brittle old wiring that needs a proper rewire, not a patch.
The larger detached blocks bring their own jobs. Backyard pools are common on the bigger sites, and each one needs its own compliant pool and spa circuit.
Around Pittwater Place on Park Street, the unit blocks and townhouses add strata work, from common-area lighting to shared switchboards and metering.

Rated by Hundreds of Homeowners
More than 600 Sydney homeowners have left us five-star reviews. Same crew, same standard, job after job.
One homeowner, David, booked us to wire his garden lights while a landscaping team worked around us, older cabling and awkward access and all, then came back for a fourth home. Another, Benjamin, said we had a workable plan B moving the moment the site threw up a surprise.

Licensed, insured & guaranteed
Our Credentials and Standards
You should not have to take a tradesman's word for it. Here are the licences, memberships and standards behind every job we do.
Safe, Compliant and Certified Electrical Work
Non-compliant wiring is a hidden risk, the kind you cannot see until it bites. We build to the standard every time, which is the whole reason to hire a licensed sparkie.
Licensed and Fully Insured
A licensed electrician does the work, and the business is fully insured, so a mistake is never your problem. DIY electrical work is illegal in NSW for good reason.
Built to the Wiring Rules
We wire to the AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules, the national rulebook for a safe install. Nothing is signed off until it is tested.
Certified on Paper
On notifiable electrical work we issue a Certificate of Compliance, lodged with NSW Fair Trading. It is proof the job meets code, not just our say-so.
Guaranteed, and Backed
Lifetime cover on the workmanship, with a 12-month product warranty over the top. If a fault turns up down the track, we come back and fix it at no cost.

Common questions
Your Electrical Questions, Answered
The questions we field most, answered straight. If yours is not here, call (02) 9134 9029 and a real person will pick up.
Can you install an EV charger at home?
Yes, and it is one of our most common jobs. Plenty of the suburb's postwar boards simply were not designed to run a car charger, so we check the board's capacity first and upgrade in the same visit if it falls short.
Do you charge a call-out fee in Mona Vale?
No call-out fee to come out and quote. Your on-site quote is free and in writing, and if you go ahead the price is locked before we start.
What brands of switches and fittings do you install?
We fit premium gear, not cheap imports, mostly Clipsal and Hager switchgear, with SAL or Beacon Lighting on the lights. Ask for a particular range and we will quote it.
Is there an electrician near Mona Vale open on weekends?
Our booked hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. For genuine emergencies we are reachable any time, so a dangerous fault at a Newport or Collaroy address never waits for Monday.
Are your electricians licensed and insured?
Yes, on both counts. We hold NSW Electrical Contractor Licence #452529C, carry full insurance, and you are welcome to verify it with NSW Fair Trading.
What electrical services do you offer?
Residential electrical across the board: switchboard upgrades, rewiring, lighting, extra power points, EV chargers, ceiling fans, fault-finding and data cabling. Anything in the house that runs on power, we cover.
